Women Who Made NY

Discover the Women Who Made New York with author Julie Scelfo And Hear Their Untold Stories

Join us for lunch and an author presentation by acclaimed journalist Julie Scelfo. Her book, The Women Who Made New York, reveals the untold stories of the phenomenal women who made New York City the cultural epicenter of the world. Hear about revolutionaries, activists and icons like Mrs. Kennedy, Billie Holiday, Lauren Bacall, Yoko Ono, Barbara Walters, Audre Lorde, Fran Lebowitz and Grace Jones as well as quietly influential women such as Emily Warren Roebling who completed the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge when her engineer husband became too ill to work. You won't want to miss this!

Ms. Scelfo is a former staff writer/current contributor to The New York Times who writes about society and human behavior. She loves a good story, and so will you—RSVP today!

This event will include an informational presentation about our community that will last at least 10 minutes.
